Hearts Entwined

Hearts Entwined

This is a collection of four Christian historical fiction romances.

The Love Knot by Karen Witemeyer
Claire has found refuge and a budding career in a woman's colony, but when her sister tells her she's sending her something special, Claire finds herself facing a man from her past and a whole new future.
I have loved the Harper's Station series and I was so glad to get to read another story about the women there. This was a sweet romance about second chances, and I really enjoyed it.

The Tangled Ties by Mary Connealy
Connor is headed home to finally win over Maggie, only to find that she is training to be a doctor in Denver and then will head to a distant town to be their physician. Although he has always wanted to be a rancher like his family, he follows Maggie to Denver, sure they can find a way to make things work.
I haven't read any of the books in this series, which doesn't matter in the sense that it makes it hard to read (you don't have to read the previous books in any of these series for the stories to make sense), but it did take me a little longer to get into it than the other stories. It started out a little slow, but it picked up once Connor and Maggie were in Denver, and I really liked seeing how things played out for them.

Bound and Determined by Regina Jennings
Private Bradley Willis has one last chance to show he can do what he's told or he's going to be kicked out of the cavalry. He's determined to see his task through--even though helping a retired captain transport his camels wasn't at all was he expecting. And he definitely wasn't expect that captain to bring along his beautiful daughter Ambrosia, who is as dead set on stopping her father from bringing the camels home as Bradley is on making sure his mission is successful.
I don't think I've ever read a Western with camels--so that along made this one interesting. Add in some humor as Bradley and Amber try to best each other, and this story was a lot of fun.

Tied and True by Melissa Jagears
Marianne loves Calvin--and she's pretty sure he has feelings for her, too. When he says there's no chance for a rich girl like him and a mere secretary like him, Marianne sets out to show him that her love for him is strong enough to withstand challenges, but will she ever convince him they can make it work?
This was a great story. Marianne was a such a sweet character, and Calvin's fears were very realistically developed. Loved it!

All of these are clean, entertaining stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this collection! 4.5 stars

I received a copy of the book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
